Parent Signup Information for 2007-08

Please read ALL carefully before continuing to the Signup Form.

General Information
Developed in the summer of 2005, the MISD Parent Connection (PC) is an online system that is used as a communication tool between the parents, teachers, and campus administrators.  The PC system consists of several items such as a homework/events calendar, grade viewing, lunch money account access, and a teacher contact system.  Other ideas are being evaluated for the future and suggestions are always welcome.

Support Information
The PC system was developed by the technology department at Midway ISD.  All technical support questions will be answered via email first.  Often it is hard to contact the developers by phone; therefore the online support tab in the upper right hand corner is the preferred method.  Support questions are generally answered same day during normal school hours or next day depending on the day of the week.  Weekend questions are answered normally on Mondays.  

Note: Due to the sheer number of registrants, we cannot troubleshoot your home computer problems.  We apologize in advance for this but too many systems and personal preferences exist for us to troubleshoot problems past our own system.  All we can tell you is that our system is up and being used by the majority of the registrants.

Registration Process
The registration process for the PC system involves a few steps that are required to help ensure student information is protected.  That is the reason we require everyone to sign up each year, the protection of the student is our number one goal, not convenience.

Submit the Signup Sheet online at www.midwayisd.org 

Make sure your printer is on and working!

  1. Once you hit submit, you will need to verify that everything is correct and finalize the application by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.
  2. The third screen will need to be printed in LANDSCAPE format.  You can do this by clicking on File > Page Setup and choosing Landscape before you choose to print the page.  Make sure that everything has printed properly before you close the screen or at LEAST jot down the form number that comes up so we can look it up and reprint if needed.  You WILL NOT be able to get back to this screen.
  3. Sign the form and turn it into the office of a participating campus where one or more of your students are enrolled.  A valid ID will have to be presented at this time.
  4. ***Once you have activated your registration at a campus office, you will be able to login and view your students’ information from that campus ONLY.  To activate your other students, you must visit their campus offices, let them know that you would like to add a student to your account, and fill out a short Add A Student form that they will supply.
    NOTE:  YOU ONLY NEED TO FILL OUT ONE (1) REGISTRATION FORM FOR YOUR ACCOUNT.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO HAVE MULTIPLE REGISTRATION FORMS FOR MULTIPLE STUDENTS (YOU ONLY NEED TO SIGN A SHORT ADD A STUDENT FORM AT EACH OF THE OTHER CAMPUSES WHERE YOU HAVE CHILDREN). ***
