These are some of the most frequently asked questions about Cross Country:


What is Cross Country?

Middle School cross country is a race approximately two miles in distance.  Races generally take place on several different terrains, including, dirt, sand, grass, hiking trails, paved areas, loose gravel.  At times you may experience steep inclines during the race.

When does the Cross Country season begin?

The Cross Country begins at the beginning of the fall semester and will run through the middle of October.

When and where are practices?

Cross Country practices are held from Monday through Thursday from 3:30 pm to  4:20 pm.  Athletes are responsible for dressing out and meeting in the Red gym by 3:40 pm.

Do I need to turn in any paperwork before I can participate?

Every athlete must turn in the following:

  1. Signed physical form (before participating in any practice or meet)
  2. Signed drug policy form (before participating in any meet)
  3. Signed travel card (before participating in any meet)

What equipment will I need to purchase?

Athletes will need to provide their own running shoes.  No tank tops or "short" shorts will be allowed during practices.
