                                Linear Relations and Functions, Systems of Equations and Inequalities. The Nature of Graphs

                SECOND SIX WEEKS

                                Polynomial and Rational Functions, Trigonometric Functions;

                                Graphs and Inverses of the Trigonometric Functions

                THIRD SIX WEEKS

                                Trigonometric Identities and Equations;Vectors and Parametric Equations

                FOURTH SIX WEEKS

                                Polar Coordinates and Complex Numbers, Conics

                FIFTH SIX WEEKS

                                Exponential and Logarithmic Functions;Sequences and Series;Iteration and Fractals

                SIXTH SIX WEEKS

                                Combinatorics and Probability; Statistics and Data Analysis

 

II. CLASSROOM GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES

                A. Be in your assigned seat prepared to start when the tardy bell rings each day

                B. Sit in your assigned seat

                C. Be attentive and follow instructions.

                D. Bring textbook and supplies each day.

                E. Complete all assignments.

                F. Demonstrate good citizenship.

                G. Raise your hand to be recognized before speaking.

                H. Be polite and respectful to others.

                I. Follow MHS cheating policy.

                J. Work only on this subject during class.

                K. Do Not eat, drink, chew gum, apply make-up, or comb hair during class.

                L. Follow MISD Student Handbook.

                M. Attend class regularly.  Attendance is the key to success.

 

III.  SUPPLY LIST:

                A. #2 pencil, Folder / brads & pockets, spiral notebook, and paper.

                B.  Calculator: choose one of the following--listed in order of recommendation.

                                TI(Graphic)  83plus($124),83($90), or 89($149) other  scientific calculators(about $15).

 

IV. MAKE-UP WORK AND ABSENCES

                A. If you know you will be absent for school-related activities, make arrangements ahead of time for                assignments.  If a test is scheduled, you will take the test the day before you leave on the trip.

                B. If you are absent the day before a test, you are not excused from the test, if you return the day of the            test.  You will receive list of assignments and test. You will know of the test and therefore should be                prepared.

                C. See your teacher for make-up work(this is YOUR responsibility, not the teacher’s)

 

V. GRADING POLICY

                A. SHOW ALL OF YOUR WORK

                B. Four Major Test or more during a Six Weeks.  They will count  80% of the six weeks grade.

                C. Students will keep a notebook that consists of all homework, test. A spiral that contains all notes.                                   These two items will count as 20% of the six weeks grade.

                D. AP classes receive a multiplier.  This only applies to the class rank.
